Summer 2006 Correction: In the article on page 9, titled "Top Farmers' Market Finds," we indicated that spelt is "great for people with gluten sensitivities." While certain sources indicate that spelt can be tolerated by some people with gluten sensitivities, you should check with a dietitian or medical professional before introducing spelt into your diet. According to the Canadian Celiac Association, spelt is closely related to other wheats and should be avoided by people with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. |
