Growing Alberta

Your Thoughts / What's Coming

Ask About It

It is interesting to find out where the food came from. When at an Alberta restaurant, I would be happy to know my food is from Alberta. I will ask the next time.

Grace Patterson, Airdrie

Mushroom Love

I enjoyed “The Ties That Bind” article. It is interesting to read about other’s traditions. And the “Put the Fun in Fungus” article was great, as I am a big mushroom fan and you don’t see a lot of mushroom articles and recipes around! I would like to see more lamb articles and recipes.

Shelley Jessop, Didsbury

Veggies of Labour

I love reading about the different farmers in Alberta and the surrounding areas. They work so very hard so that we can enjoy the fruits of their labour. Without them we would not be able to enjoy the variety of vegetables that they produce and harvest for us. I wish the farmers’ markets would continue all year round to the same extent as they do in the summer months. The ritual of going, looking at the produce etc. is such a joy.

Helga Miller, Edmonton

Leaving Home

I didn’t realize that Alberta shipped so many products globally. Yeah, Alberta!

Cathi Gommeringer, Medicine Hat
