Eat Well, Closer to Home - Recipes

Two dedicated localvores – Tara Zieminek in Edmonton and Vicki Young in Canmore – agreed to devise menus based on the 100-Mile Diet. mile They had to create feasts using only ingredients found within 100 mile (160 kilometres) of their homes. They scoured farmers’ markets, toured farms and spent a lot of time hunched over a map. Their fantastic main courses are featured in the pages of the fall 2007 issue of Food For Thought magazine.
