Prime PeasThe peabutter people are rebranding and reformulating. No Nuts Golden Peabutter, the peanut butter imposter from Mountain Meadow Foods in Legal, Company owners Caryll and Norm Carruthers are are looking to the future. They’re determined to spread the peabutter word to consumers without nut allergies. This fall, they are removing hydrogenated oil from the product. Although this oil comprised less than two per cent of the overall product, many consumers are trying to avoid all hydrogenated oil in an effort to avoid unhealthful trans fats. The bunnies on the label of No Nuts Golden Peabutter will be replaced with a more sophisticated look. Carryl will be adding her new recipes for peabutter brownies, oatmeal monster cookies, and Thai sauce on the website this fall. No Nuts Golden Peabutter is available in western
