We’re liveFood for Thought Online– with more stories, extended features, and links galore. Since day one, Food For Thought has been posted on www.growingalberta.com so global consumers can see what Albertans have in our own backyards. Now, we’ve added a whole new dimension with Food for Thought Online. On this section of our site, you’ll find Web only stories related to each printed issue of Food for Thought. And, you’ll find even more links to sites that can help you find information about everything from A to Z – literally! This spring, Food for Thought Online features three stories. Here’s a quick look at our spring line-up: Spring is on the menu! How does a sumptuous spring dinner, seeded with fabulous low-fat recipes, sound? If you’re already salivating, this online feature is for you. An Alberta spring meal including appetizers, salad, entrée and dessert is just waiting to debut in your kitchen. Recipes are courtesy of Alberta’s agriculture and food industry and each one offers a nutritional analysis so you can enjoy great dining – guilt free. And, for those who like wine with their meals, a selection for each course is recommended by a leading Alberta wine connoisseur. A wellness journeyIf you’ve read page 19, you’ve met our Albertans Take the Wellness Challenge Team. Now, you can share their journey over the next few months at Food for Thought Online. Each month, Andrew Coward, Lynn Haley and Grace Lunt will be giving an update on their progress. They’ll be sharing the highs, the lows and the realities of making lifestyle changes. You can even email them your encouragement through info@growingalberta.com To market we will goWith summer just around the corner, u-pick gardens and farmer’s markets are gearing up to offer Alberta consumers the best of the fresh. In this feature, you’ll learn where and when you can find Alberta fresh products around the province. Visit farmer’s markets or pick your own at market gardens from north to south, east to west. There’s lots to choose from and we’ll link you up to sites that will tell where the finds are and how to get there.
